It is the national Telecommunications service provider and offers a full range of services to the people of the Republic of Kiribati. Employing about 160 staff including casual workers, it is one of the largest and most dynamic companies in Kiribati. TSKL was officially privatised under the Joint Venture Agreement signed between the two parties mentioned above on the 11 th June 1990. TSKL is also part of the wider regional community and actively participating in many of the Regional and International Telecommunications industry groups, including PITA (Pacific Islands Telecommunications Association), PTC (Pacific Telecommunications Council), APT (Asia Pacific Telecommunity) and ITU (International Telecommunications Union).
