Both places have many regional differences and both countries have their own governmental problems. India is going to start to really grow as domestic demand is picking up, and the government is doing everything in its power to mess this up. That might be a bit of an overstatement coming from me, a staunch advocate of free market economies, but the Indian government cannot really keep itself out of business issues any more than the Chinese. This really should not be a problem except for one thing. The Indians are making their annual waves about domestic steel production taking precedence and about a ban of high grade ore, on top of special pricing for sponge iron plants within India.
