This rule does not affect newly manufactured aircraft. 01.03.2006 : : STATEMENTS   Proposed Bulletin for Good Guidance Practices The National Air Transportation Association submitted comments today to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) regarding the proposed bulletin for good guidance practices (GGP). NATA commended the OMB's efforts to define good guidance practices for federal agencies, but asked for clarification of subjective qualifications and more specific agency accountability. 12.30.2005 : : LEGISLATIVE REPORT   CRS Report Details General Aviation Security The Congressional Research Service (CRS) issued a report earlier this month that closely examines the security threat posed by general aviation aircraft. The report states that given the broad scope of general aviation? a single standard for the industry is impractical and unnecessary. The report also details the steps that charter, business, and general aviation operators have taken to improve aviation security. The Congressional Research Service is a division of the Library of Congress that performs detailed research for Members of Congress and their staff on all issues that are under discussion in Congress.
