The IPA implements policies and programs aimed at increasing total annual investments (including FDI), greater increases in non-mining sector investments and increasing the level of investments financed by the domestic sector. The IPA is a statutory organisation established in 1992 by an Act of Parliament to promote and facilitate investment in Papua New Guinea.
