EUROCONTROL - European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation At EUROCONTROL we have a vision. To create "One Sky for Europe". To manage the European sky as a single, seamless airspace, within which traffic can cross national frontiers, supported by a synchronised, integrated system of air traffic management. We are the architect and manager of Air Traffic Management (ATM) in Europe. We serve the air transport industry, the economy and the passenger to ensure safe, secure and efficient use of European airspace. Furthermore we develop European solutions to meet the challenges of our industry: reducing delays and costs, handling traffic growth, improving efficiency and reducing aircraft emmissions and noise. Our role is to co-ordinate the development of a uniform system of ATM throughout Europe (41 States). We work with our partners in the air transport industry to provide a range of services: from air traffic controller training to managing air traffic flow; from regional control of airspace to development of innovative technologies and procedures; and the collection of air navigation charges, civil/military, etc. Europe's skies are busy.
